Grief is a deeply personal journey, and no two experiences are alike. For Rozmina, navigating the loss of a loved one was a challenging and emotional process. When she found the Burnaby Hospice Society, she discovered a place of understanding, support, and healing.
“Losing someone you love is never easy,” Rozmina shares. “I felt overwhelmed and lost in my grief, unsure of how to move forward. That’s when I reached out to Burnaby Hospice Society.”
Through the compassionate care and resources offered at BHS, Rozmina found comfort in the grief counselling sessions and therapeutic activities available.
“The counselling sessions and the watercolour painting classes were very beneficial and therapeutic and have aided tremendously in my grief and healing process. My counsellor Brittany was exceptional and very knowledgeable. She was empathetic, kind, caring, and very easy to talk to. I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with her as my Grief Counsellor. I am extremely grateful for the kindness, understanding, and support I received from the Burnaby Hospice Society and the staff at this very difficult time in my life.”
For Rozmina, the combination of professional guidance and creative expression provided a path toward healing. The ability to talk openly about her grief with someone who truly listened and understood made all the difference.
Rozmina’s story is a testament to the importance of grief support. At Burnaby Hospice Society, we are honoured to walk alongside individuals and families during their most difficult times, offering comfort and understanding.
